Event Rater Q&A with Zach Mercer

Zach Mercer (Twitter: @Mercer8Zach / Instagram: @zach_mercer1) is an England international rugby player who plays his club rugby for Bath. To date, he has won 2 England caps during the 2018 Autumn Internationals and has made 37 appearances for Bath.


Mercer grew up in Northowram, near Halifax, but moved to Glasgow aged eight. He is the son of former New Zealand rugby league international Gary Mercer. 

He captained England U20's to the 2017 Six Nations title, winning the Grand Slam in the process and narrowly lost out to New Zealand in the U20 World Championship final that summer.

Q: What types of events do you usually attend?

A: Comedy events life stories (Ant Middleton etc) and Sporting


Q: What is the best artist/group you have ever seen live?

A: Ed Sheeran


Q: Who are your favourite stand-up comedians?

A:  Jack Whitehall


Q: Which sports do you enjoy seeing live? (apart from rugby!)

A: Rugby League ahaha and NFL


Q: What is your favourite venue?

A: Wembley


Q: What type of theatre events do you usually attend? (e.g. drama, musicals, opera) / Which show is your all-time favorite production? 

A: Opera - Phantom Of the Opera


Q: Who would be your three dream headline acts to perform at a festival?

A: Six 60, James Blunt and ACDC


Q: Are there any events/artists that you would like to see that you haven't yet seen?

A:  Big Bash T20 Cricket in Australia and any boxing match.
